CRNA for Pain Management

CRNA needed for Pain Management at Androscoggin Valley Hospital (AVH) in Berlin. 

Must share the values of Ownership, Accountability, Collaboration, Communication, Integrity, Flexibility, Service, and Quality. We are seeking a team player who has good communication skills and strong patient rapport. 2-3 years experience preferred but new graduates will be considered.


This 4-5 day/week position consists of 100% outpatient pain management and has become available so that we can meet the community needs without prolonged wait times.

Position will consist of medical management of established and new patients in our pain management clinic. It will require medication management of established and new patients along with compliance, post-procedure follow-ups, and diagnostic workups on established patients, injections such as trigger point and peripheral joint injections as per the capabilities of privileges.
 

Schedule and Workload

*4-5 days/week at AVH with regular specific schedule to be determined based on patient need.
* Outreach may also include days at pain clinic in Conway, Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook or Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster.
* Provider may see patients 8:00 am to 5:00 pm daily but work schedule requires flexibility and may change to meet patient care needs.
 

Overview of Pain Management Services 

The Pain Clinic offers services including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and consultation to patients of all ages with acute and chronic pain that requires invasive pain medicine procedures beyond basic pain medicine. Including but not limited to:
 
  • Diagnosis and treatment of chronic and cancer-related pain
  • Initiating management of pain therapy using drugs, regional anesthetic techniques, or other accepted pain relief modalities (BOTOXTM, Corticosteroid)
  • History and physical exam
  • Prevention, recognition, and management of local anesthetic overdose, including airway management and resuscitation
  • Recognition and management of therapies, side effects, and complications of pharmacologic agents used in management of pain
  • Epidural steroid injections at numerous spine locations
  • Image guided fluroscopic and ultrasound procedures
  • Medication management for chronic pain syndromes
  • Minimally invasive radiofrequency lesioning
  • Nerve blocks for selected types of headaches
  • Regional blocks for shingles or neuralgia pain
 
Credentialing and Skills Required 

Successful applicant must be eligible for, obtains, and maintains appropriate clinical privileges for Pain Management and AVH's Allied Health Professional Staff.
